Transitioning From Collabedit

A majority of collabedit's traffic comes from free users. However, some of you have come to rely on it's functionality as a part of your hiring process and are willing to pay for a better product. To that end, I have created Coding Hire.

The new site has a few advantages. First, it runs on a different server, isolated from the free traffic, so it is more responsive. Next, it's runs a different codebase, with different features, so it can evolve to fit the technical hiring process. Right now, the feature set is very similar to collabedit but that is about to change.

Transition

In order to enjoy the new experience, you need to migrate. Fortunately, the process is very easy.

Login to collabedit. On your dashboard you will see a big yellow box with a link to signup for Coding Hire. If you follow this link you will be able to signup for the new site without entering any payment information. The new site will sync up with collabedit and your credits will be copied over automatically. Your collabedit plan will continue to be billed and you don't need to do anything else.

You will be able to use both sites for a while. However, I need your help. The new site isn't perfect (yet), so please contact me by email with any bugs or feature requests.

At some point in the future, I will stop supporting the interview section of collabedit.com and may shut it down or change how it works. You will be notified by email at least one month in advance of this happening, but the sooner your can migrate, the better.

With your continued support, Coding Hire will make your hiring process very effective, and help you hire the best developers.
